Punk fans are in for an excellent season! For starters, Social Distortion announced that they are embarking on an outing with fellow punk purveyors Bad Religion. “It gives me great pleasure to announce that in April, we will be going on a nationwide co-headlining tour with our friends in Bad Religion. Yes, we are back in action and can't wait for this tour!! We did this with them in Australia in 2022, and the shows were amazing!" The outing is slated to conquer over 20 dates across the U.S., including a coveted stop in Mesa, Arizona. Fans can anticipate some timeless anthems, such as Social Distortion’s “Story of My Life,” “Prison Bound,” “Ball and Chain,” and “Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes.” Moreover, Bad Religion is also slated to perform some career-spanning staples, such as “21st Century (Digital Boy),” “Punk Rock Song,” “American Jesus,” and many more.
Fans can look forward to a power-pumped performance from Social Distortion and Bad Religion. Both bands have released some of the most influential punk albums of all time. Social Distortion released their debut effort, Mommy’s Little Monster, in 1983. By 1990, the band dropped their breakthrough self-titled album. The third effort, which spawned the hits “Let It Be Me,” “Story of My Life,” and “Ball and Chain,” sold over 500,000 copies in the U.S.
Meanwhile, Bad Religion released countless iconic albums, including 1992’s Generator. By 1994, the band dropped their career-defining effort, Stranger Than Fiction. The album, which includes the title track and “Infected,” entered the Billboard 200. After their phenomenal breakthrough, Bad Religion became a regular fixture on the charts with every studio release.
For their show at the Mesa Amphitheater, Social Distortion and Bad Religion will bring along a sensational garage rock group, The Bellrays. The riverside natives, led by singer Lisa Kekaula, will also perform their expansive setlist packed with their unprecedented hits.
