Interpol is pumped and ready to deliver another season of groundbreaking performances! The New York-borne trio will be serving a series of anniversary shows to celebrate the success of Turn On the Bright Lights and Antics. These albums were released in 2002 and 2004 and considered their career-defining efforts. During an interview with NME Magazine, Interpol frontman Paul Banks shared, “I feel like there was a moment of reticence when we talked about touring to celebrate debut album ‘Turn On The Bright Lights,’ which was ameliorated or abated by the fact that we were deep into a new release and facing forward with new work.” Banks also mentioned that he liked the idea of performing old albums from start to finish.
As 2024 is the 20th anniversary of Antics, fans can look forward to Interpol performing numerous hits from the album. The 2004 effort spawned several singles, such as “Slow Hands,” “Evil” and “C’mere.” These releases made their way into Billboard’s Alternative Airplay charts, as well as the international charts. Aside from Antics, the band is also slated to feature songs from their debut album, Turn on the Bright Lights. The 2002 effort was preceded by singles “PDA” and “Obstacle 1,” followed by “Say Hello to the Angels” and “NYC.”
Aside from their older hits, fans can look forward to a thrilling live set that includes their new singles from their latest album, The Other Side of Make-Believe. A purveyor of New York’s indie music scene, Interpol is defined by their love of addictive rhythms and harmonized guitar riffs.
